SkillsTX has been named a Finalist in the 2026 Queensland iAwards, Business & Industry category.
First, the thank you, because it matters. The iAwards, run by the Australian Information Industry Association, is Australia’s longest-running and most prestigious technology innovation awards program. Since 1993, it has spotted innovations like Google Maps, Atlassian, Wotif, and WiseTech Global before the world caught on. To the AIIA, the judging panel, and the iAwards community: thank you for taking workforce capability seriously enough to put it on this stage.
To the SkillsTX team, our partners, and our customers: this recognition belongs to you. You did the unglamorous work of turning a big idea into a working system, one assessment, one skills profile, one hard conversation about evidence at a time.
This is bigger than an award
Here is what we believe, and what this finalist nod reinforces. The world is quietly changing how it decides who can do what.
For decades, careers ran on assumptions. Resumes. Titles. Certifications. Gut feel. Good people got overlooked because they could not prove what they could do. Employers bet millions on capabilities they could not see. Governments funded skills programs without a reliable way to measure what actually changed.
That era is ending. AI did not kill the resume. It exposed how weak the resume already was.
A movement is forming around a simple idea: human capability deserves evidence. SFIA gives the world a trusted common language for digital skills.
